Dive Bar

Project Overview

Dive Bar is a spirited seafood and raw bar concept from chef Tiffani Faison, bringing together coastal New England classics and Southern Gulf favorites in what she describes as a “Mason-Dixon water fight.” Located in Boston, the menu playfully pits North against South—lobster rolls vs. po’ boys, clam chowder vs. gumbo—in a culinary celebration of regional rivalry and irreverence.

Design Approach

We created a visual identity that embraced the brand’s wit and whimsical energy. Taking cues from the menu’s cheeky tone and oceanic influence, the design language was built around playful sea creature illustrations, bold typographic choices, and a vibrant underwater-inspired palette. The primary logomark—a goggled lobster with a snorkel—doubles as mascot and mood-setter, capturing the brand’s humor and edge.

Typography selections fused hand-hammered letterforms with a pointed pen aesthetic, emphasizing a personality that felt casual, confident, and unmistakably unique. From menus and signage to aprons, merchandise, and neon installations, every brand touchpoint was designed to bring the underwater fantasy to life with consistency and charm.

Outcome

Dive Bar’s brand identity makes an immediate splash—visually dynamic, undeniably fun, and wholly aligned with the restaurant’s concept. The immersive and cohesive system has helped cement Dive Bar’s presence in a competitive hospitality landscape, creating a bold, buzzy environment where guests feel both welcome and entertained.
