About Us
We pair modern design with the timeless craft of letterpress to create work that’s tactile, intentional, and deeply personal. From branding to printed ephemera, every project is guided by curiosity, care, and a love for thoughtful detail.
Meet the Maker:
Teresita Olson (she / her)
Hi, I’m Teresita—designer, letterpress printer, and founder of Kona & Birch. After 17 years in marketing, I made the leap into art school and never looked back. I fell in love with design, and even more deeply with the tactile, meditative process of letterpress.
Since graduating in 2019, I’ve built a design practice that blends clean, thoughtful design with the hands-on magic of analog print. At Kona & Birch, you’ll find me toggling between pixels and presses—working on everything from branding and environmental graphics to hand-fed prints made on one of our four vintage letterpress machines.
I’m based in Chester, New Hampshire, where my studio smells like ink and sounds like ideas in motion. Whether I’m designing for screen or paper, my work is always rooted in intention, craft, and a little bit of sparkle.
Kona & Birch - Security detail. Snack inspectors. Nap connoisseurs. They may not design, but they definitely art direct.
Meet Our Chief Canine Officers: Kona & Birch
Hailing from the scenic town of Kensington, New Hampshire, Kona and Birch are the four-legged heart of the studio. Equal parts creative muse and loyal security team, they keep the energy high, the inspiration flowing, and the grounds strictly squirrel-free.
When they’re not overseeing press checks or napping under the work table, they enjoy trail walks, chasing turkeys (purely for sport), and greeting guests with unfiltered enthusiasm.
They may not run the press, but they definitely run the place.
